Skills Shortages Addressed – A Plus for St Jude’s!

The recent news of the McGowan government’s $53.5 million initiative to cut TAFE fees by 50 per cent for selected courses that target skill shortages is great news for St Jude’s Disability Services.

This support from our State government promotes the opportunity for greater stability and growth in the disability sector as new students keen to work in aged and disability care will now have a more affordable opportunity to do so.

For over 35 years, St Jude’s has been consistent in maintaining the highest standards in our support services for people with disability. St Jude’s has always worked hand-in-hand with our local West Australian TAFEs by taking on student placements and onboarding graduates from their various certificate and diploma programs.

Looking to the future growth of the disability skilled sector, St Jude’s continues to benefit from employing the best, locally trained professionals who provide the everyday support in the services we offer for adults with learning disabilities, psycho-social support needs and physical disabilities.
